Lives Without Knives VegFest at UCLA
About VegFest
At UCLA's Wilson Plaza, the first Annual Lives Without Knives’ Vegfest is a lively one-day festival hosted by renowned guest speaker Badass Vegan, on January 18th from 11 am to 5 pm. Our VegFest not only showcases and unites local plant-based vendors, vegan businesses, plant-forward student organizations, vegan non-profits, and popular vegan food trucks but also fosters a vibrant community dedicated to empowering plant-forward diets. Our VegFest is part of our over-arching Plant Powered Revolution at UCLA; this is a week-long set of events and activities aiming to encourage and spread awareness on a plant-forward diet to the entire UCLA community. Attend our free event to indulge in free food samples, interactive activities, live music, and exciting LWK Vegan Starter Kits, and participate in a raffle for the Vegan Starter Kit valued at $100 (USD).
Why VegFest at UCLA?
We are dedicated to enlightening the UCLA community about the numerous advantages of embracing a plant-based lifestyle in an inclusive and engaging manner. By offering free food sampling, interactive workshops, and entertainment, our goal is to create an atmosphere where everyone can experience the delight of delicious plant-based foods while gaining insights into how their dietary choices impact our world. Through meaningful person-to-person interactions and supportive conversations, we strive to raise awareness about the myriad reasons for choosing plant-based options, whether it's for the well-being of animals, the environment, human health, or social justice. Above all, we hold a deep appreciation for the community, encompassing UCLA students, faculty, visitors, and our entire planet.
